Take Advantage Of Image Height
Pinterest automatically scales all images you upload to a specific width. However, the height is up to you. The images which jump out on Pinterest are those which are taller. Image size matters a great deal when your prospect has many different pieces of content to look at. Taller, vertical pins perform better on Pinterest than shorter pins.
Show Several Products In A Single Pin
Make an image featuring several items that you offer or sell. This adds value to an individual pin by displaying several offerings, products and services. You have a better chance of engaging and appealing more users by showing multiple options. There are plenty of free image tools that you can use to create these type of images.
Include Text On Your Images
The vast majority of pins on Pinterest are just illustrations, photos or images. When you add text on top of your images, it makes them jump off the page. Research shows that images with a text overlay consistently drive more engagement than images without text.
Add descriptions with your images when you upload them to Pinterest. Studies show that pictures with descriptions of 200 to 300 characters (about 50 words) were the most repinnable. Include your keywords phrases in your pin descriptions.
Use More Light Colored Images
Research shows that lighter colored images are repinned much more regularly than darker images. Red tones and colors are also more likely to be repinned than images that are primarily blue. Keep in mind that very dark or very light images do not draw as much engagement on Pinterest as those with modest coloring.
Don't Forget Your Keywords
Pinterest recommends using 20 to 30 keywords with your promoted pins and Pinterest ads. Include main keywords, related phrases and long-tail keywords as well, and use the 20 to 30 word suggestion.
